Viewing Tips & Technical Information
Click
on the thumbnails to display full-size images. Use the
navigation links below the full-size images to move forwards or
backwards within a collection or return to the thumbnails page.
All images are JPEG format to
achieve a balance between quality and file size. However, some
image artefacts due to JPEG compression are unavoidable. To
display images correctly your monitor settings may need to be
adjusted. The images have been processed to look best on a display
set with a gamma value of 2.2 and a colour temperature of 6500 K. To
check if your display is set up correctly look at the greyscale below or
for details of a simple test. The images have been processed for viewing on
conventional CRT displays or flat panel displays set on medium
sharpness.

If your display is set
up correctly then you should be able to distinguish between the black /
white background and the levels below 10 / up to 255. For optimal viewing please make sure that the image has not
been re-scaled by your web browser, resulting in a blocky appearance.
Full-screen browsing is possible by pressing the F11 key. A
display resolution of at least 1024 x 768 is recommended. Navigation within a collection may be done using the 'next' and
'previous' links below the image, or by clicking on the image itself.

Thanks!
These days in the UK some prior knowledge of interesting
workings is essential, so thanks is due to those who take the time to post
information on the various internet 'gen' sites or provide information directly.
